Sending an enquiry through this website does not create a booking. A booking is made only when we confirm it to you in writing (usually by email), and it is then governed by the booking confirmation and the booking terms we send you with it, including deposit, payment and cancellation conditions. Please read these before you pay.
Deramakot is a wild, working forest reserve. Wildlife is free-ranging and we cannot guarantee that any particular animal will be seen, or seen well. Photographs, videos, sighting lists and statements such as “visitors regularly see” show what has been recorded in the past and are not a promise of what you will see. Weather, road conditions and reserve rules can change the itinerary, and we may adjust activities for safety or to follow the reserve’s rules.
Forest travel involves risk, including rough roads, night driving, heat, humidity, insects, leeches and wild animals. You are responsible for following the instructions of your guides and the reserve staff. Please make sure you are fit to travel and take out comprehensive travel insurance covering medical costs, evacuation and cancellation before you travel. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Malaysian law that cannot be excluded.
We work to keep the site accurate, but wildlife information, species checklists, opening conditions, prices and availability may change or contain mistakes. The Deramakot book and wildlife checklists are provided free for general information and personal use. They are not scientific or official reserve documents. Please confirm important details with us before you book.
Text, photographs, video, checklists and the Deramakot book on this site are protected by copyright. Photographs are credited to their photographers. You may view and print pages for your own planning and share links to the site, but you may not copy, republish or sell our content, or use the photographs, without written permission. To request permission, email us.
Guest reviews and quotations shown on the site come from the sources named. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we do not control and are not responsible for their content.
Do not misuse the site: do not attempt to interfere with its operation, access areas you are not authorised to access (including the reporting dashboard), or submit false, abusive or unlawful content through the contact form.
